As part of this role you will be supporting managers and other staff in providing a range of accountancy services to our clients. We will support you in gaining the experience and knowledge needed as you progress through AAT/ACCA/ACA.

Role & Responsibilities

• Preparation of annual accounts for a variety of small companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Quarterly bookkeeping to include the preparation of VAT Returns
• Assisting with administrative tasks as required
• Contacting HMRC when required
• Preparation of basic Tax Returns
• Conducting bookkeeping for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
• Gain experience with company secretarial services
• Progressively assume more significant responsibilities and deepen your technical knowledge
• Ensuring your timesheet is accurate and completed on time each week
• Support the team with all admin tasks and basic accounts jobs
• Understand the business and how accountancy practices run

Desired Skills

• Ability to show initiative and work within a team
• Ability to show good client relationships
• To be comfortable with Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build rapport with people at various levels
• Analytical and ability to complete tasks to a high level

Qualifications

• 5 GCSE's 5 to 9 (A to C) including Maths and English
• Relevant A Levels or University Degree
• A desire to complete AAT/ACCA/ACA
